I washed my car
Let me mention I went to a hand car wash (they offer to wash cars)
Paid them money and got my car washed because it was dirty and It needed cleaning
Once it was cleaned, boy it was sparkling
I was happy of course because finally my car looked well brand new!
I think it was a day or two or on the same day, I can’t remember exactly
I went to put petrol in my car
Went to pay for it in the store
Came out to see pigeons had pooped on my car!
All over it!
It was so frustrating!

Pigeons do poop
They poop a lot
Especially if they’re roosting on trees or under tunnels
You’ll definitely see poop all over the floor
If you have parked under a tree overnight
Be prepared for bird poop on your car (I’ve experienced that too!)
The question we want to answer today is – Can pigeons poop while flying?
In short – Yes they can
Some pigeons would poop whilst they’re flying
In general though, they prefer to poop on the ground

I actually have another story for you regarding pigeons pooping whilst flying
This was years ago when I was in college
I was right near my college walking with my friend
Pretty much a minute or two away
Me and my friend were just talking
All of a sudden I feel a drop on my shoulder (I was wearing a jacket)
I went to touch it because I just thought it was a rain drop
Turned out it was bird poop!
I had to turn around and go back home to get changed!
I’m pretty sure a pigeon pooped on me while flying by!
Or it could have been sitting on the tree as I do remember walking under a tree
But yes, pigeons can poop while flying
Birds in general do
Why?
Because they don’t have control when they release their poop
They lack an anal sphincter like us humans
This means they can release their poop anytime which includes whilst flying
So always be careful if you notice a pigeon flying above your head!
Can Birds Pee While Flying?

The answer is yes
But it’s different to humans or mammals
They both pee and poop at the same time

There are no special birds that poop while flying
Pretty much all birds do this
They don’t care where they poop
Because they can’t hold it in, they would poop if they are on the ground or when they are flying
Does Pigeon Poop Smell?
If a pigeon has never pooped on you (Lucky for you)
You may wonder if it smells
Last thing you want is to be covered in poop that stinks!

How Toxic Is Pigeon Poop?
The good news is, it’s very rare to catch any disease from it
For example, if you’re cleaning poop from your windowsill, this won’t pose a serious risk to your health (to most people)
It’s important to remember, when cleaning bird poop, to wear disposable gloves and that clothes that can be washed
